In 2002 there was an coup attempt on Hugo Chávez made by many of the richest people in Venezuela. However, the attempt failed shortly after the new government took power - even when the new government had the support of all 5 media stations in Venezuela. The Revolution will not be Televised is a documentary on what happened during the events that took place April 9 until April 12. The film crew was actually in Venezuela when this occurred.
